We have several types of miniature cattle here at Exuberance Farm, such as show quality registered mini Zebu in very hard-to-get colors. Zebu are the smallest cattle breed in the world. We also have small and miniature registered Texas Longhorns! There are shows for these purebred minis.
But we enjoy and value our cross-bred and developing breeds just as much as our full breed animals. They are more affordable and are often more hardy and fertile. You can have the look of a Texas Longhorn, without getting involved with branding (this would be the developing breed, Western Heritage minis, by Dustin Pillard of Iowa). Or you can have a mini milker
cross of an unusual color, who produces just one to three gallons of
milk per day for you. This keeps it a pleasure, not your whole
lifestyle. Even a Zebu cow can be milked and can give up to one gallon
of milk every day!
